Every Journey is an opportunity to learn, serve, worship, and discover how God is already at work in another part of the world.

What Makes a Two Pennies Journey Different?
Many mission trips focus on completing a project. While we certainly work hard, our greatest priority is building relationships that continue long after the trip ends.
Our teams partner with Ghanaian leaders who know their communities, understand the challenges they face, and are committed to serving for the long term. Rather than bringing all the answers, we come ready to learn, encourage, and work together.
Our Journeys are not "plug and play." Every participant brings unique gifts, experiences, and perspectives that contribute to the ministry. The relationships formed during a Journey often continue for months and years afterward through prayer, encouragement, mentoring, and collaboration.

What will I do during a Journey?

Every Journey is unique, but participants typically have opportunities to encourage local churches and pastors, spend time with children and families, teach or mentor students at the Training & Innovation Center, work alongside our Ghanaian team in sustainable businesses, participate in worship and fellowship, and experience the rich culture, hospitality, and faith of Ghana. No two Journeys are exactly alike because each visit is shaped by the needs and opportunities God provides.
Who can participate in a Journey?

You don't need to be a pastor, teacher, or construction expert to join a Journey. We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds who are willing to serve with humility, flexibility, and a desire to learn. Whether your gifts are in education, healthcare, business, technology, administration, or simply encouraging others, God can use you. The most important qualification is a servant's heart.
How do I prepare for a Journey?

Before traveling, every participant receives guidance on travel logistics, required documentation, health and safety recommendations, Ghanaian culture and customs, ministry expectations, fundraising ideas (if needed), and team orientation. Our goal is for every team member to arrive prepared to serve with confidence and respect.
How long is a Journey?

How much does a Journey cost?

The cost varies slightly from year to year depending on airfare and travel expenses. We provide current pricing and fundraising resources during the application process.
Do I need previous mission experience?

No. We welcome first-time participants and provide training before every Journey. Our team will help you prepare so you can serve confidently, regardless of your previous experience.
Can families participate?

Depending on the purpose of the Journey and the ages of the children, families may be able to participate. We'd be happy to discuss whether an upcoming Journey is a good fit for your family.
