Two Pennies Ministry is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors committed to providing prayerful leadership, accountability, and stewardship.

James Reed

James Reed is the co-founder and President of Two Pennies Ministry. He serves on the Board of Directors, chairs the Two Pennies Industries (2PI) Committee, and helps lead Two Pennies Journeys to Ghana.

As an educator, James is passionate about helping people recognize the gifts and potential God has placed within them. He especially enjoys working alongside Two Pennies’ Ghanaian partners to develop sustainable businesses, educational opportunities, and ministries that help people fulfill their God-given purpose.

James has traveled to Ghana numerous times and treasures the friendships that have grown through those experiences. He and his wife, Stephanie, co-founded Two Pennies and share a deep commitment to walking alongside the people and communities they have come to know and love in Ghana.

Karen Grey

Karen Grey first became involved with Two Pennies Ministry approximately ten years ago when her family began sponsoring a child at Love & Care. She has served on the Board of Directors for the past three years and has been a member of the Training Center Committee for the past two years.

Karen is passionate about Two Pennies’ mission of honoring the God-given dignity of every individual. She especially values the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with our partners in Ghana and to work alongside them in ways that glorify God and help people discover and fulfill their God-given purpose and potential.

My wife (Carol) and I have been members of First Baptist for 40 years.  I joined the Two Pennies board in 2018.  From the time Jim and others presented their vision for what that ministry could be in Ghana, I wanted to support it.  

I am currently on the Training Center committee and am excited about everything that has happened there since its inception.  It is especially heartwarming to see the children benefiting from learning new things and experiencing a warm environment.

  • Stephanie Reed

    Co-Founder / Children & Families Chair

    Stephanie Reed is a co-founder of Two Pennies Ministry and has been part of its mission from the very beginning. She currently serves on the Board of Directors and chairs the Children & Families Committee, helping guide Two Pennies’ work with children, families, and students in Ghana.

    Stephanie has a particular passion for building relationships and coming alongside children and families in ways that honor their dignity and help them recognize the purpose and potential God has placed within them. Through the Children & Families Committee, she helps oversee Two Pennies’ efforts to support and encourage children and students through sponsorships, education, mentoring, and other opportunities.

    Stephanie is a nurse and brings both a compassionate heart and a desire to care for others to her work with Two Pennies. She has traveled to Ghana multiple times and especially values the relationships that have grown through those experiences. For Stephanie, Two Pennies is ultimately about people—walking alongside them, encouraging them, and demonstrating the love of Christ through genuine relationships.

  • Moses Siakula

    Board Member

    My name is Moses E. Siakula, and I’m originally from Zambia (Southern Africa), but I currently live in North Canton, Ohio. I am married to Jocelyn, and we have two kids, Apphia (6) and Abishai (3). I have joyfully been part of the Two Pennies board since 2021. I have not gone on any of the Two Pennies journeys, but my wife did some years back before we got married. I currently serve on the pastors and teaching committee. The reason I chose Two Pennies is that being part of this team has taught me how love and kindness can be or should be shared beyond geographical and cultural boundaries (embracing the Great Commission of the Lord, Matt. 28:18-20). It has also shown me the importance of glorifying God through helping people realize their purpose and the goals God has created them for. I am passionate about all aspects of the Two Pennies mission because, in every part of the work being done, there is a chance and privilege to see lives being impacted and changed—spiritually and physically (educationally and health-wise). The Two Pennies mission offers an opportunity to be part of what God is doing, witnessing how He works through, in, and for people. With Two Pennies, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve God, and I pray that God’s name be glorified in all that is being done.

  • Richard Norquist

    Board Member

    Rich Norquist has been involved with Two Pennies Ministry since 2014 and currently serves on the Pastors Committee. He and his wife, Susan, have been part of First Baptist Church since 2006.

    Rich has traveled to Ghana twice with Two Pennies. On his first Journey, he helped with work at Love & Care Orphanage, and on his second, he was part of the team that worked on the library in Katakyiase.

    He is grateful to be part of a ministry that helps share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while building meaningful relationships with our partners in Ghana. Serving with Two Pennies has been a great blessing to him, and he looks forward to seeing how God continues to use the ministry in the years ahead.

  • Daniel Reed

    Board Member

    Daniel Reed has served on the Board of Two Pennies Ministry since its inception and is a member of the Pastors Committee. He has traveled to Ghana ten times and participated in three pastors’ conferences, building relationships with pastors and church leaders along the way. He also regularly participates in Two Pennies’ weekly Zoom meetings with pastors in Ghana, studying Scripture and encouraging one another in ministry.

    Daniel has a heart for encouraging Christian leaders as they serve their churches and communities and especially values the friendships he has developed in Ghana over the years.

    Daniel and his wife, Audrey, have been married for 55 years. They have three sons and eight grandchildren and enjoy spending time with their family.

  • Innocent Chia

    Board Member

    Innocent Chia has been involved with Two Pennies Ministry since 2017, serving on the Board for much of that time while also taking a brief period away from Board service. He currently serves on the Two Pennies Industries (2PI) and Scholarship committees, where he helps follow up with and encourage our university students.

    Innocent is especially passionate about helping Two Pennies overcome the challenges that come with supporting our partners in Ghana as they work to discover and fulfill their God-ordained purpose. He values the opportunity to help develop practical, sustainable ways for Two Pennies to come alongside individuals and communities as they pursue the potential God has placed within them.

    Outside of his work with Two Pennies, Innocent finds great joy in putting smiles on people’s faces from behind his BBQ grill. Even more importantly, he is passionate about sharing the good news of the Kingdom of God and encouraging others in their faith.
